The day dawned bright and clear and cold. Late this morning, I tramped about my sparkly neighborhood with the camera. Come take a walk with me!

My house

My neighbors

A neighborhood bed-and-breakfast

A favorite Victorian cottage

Want a little icing on that gingerbread?

Phoebe in the snow

The corner wooded lot where I frequently take Phoebe

Whew! It's brisk out there. Time to settle in by the fireplace with a cuppa and some oatmeal raisin cookies.

So, how was your day?

How lovely. When I come to visit, I can stay at the bed and breakfast down the road and take Pheobe on walks for you.

Sounds fab! The BnB is one block over. Let me know when you think you might be headed this way, and I'll get you more info. I can't remember what its name is at the moment.

Oh, and worry not about getting Phoebe's name right. The kennel that named her spelled it "Febie." Sheesh.

Have I mentioned how much I adore your house?

Mmmm, once or twice, I believe. [grin] How are your renovations coming along?

Dead in the water. Until we sell the farm, we don't have the $$ to do much. The cost of leveling pretty much cleaned us out for the time being. So, we are watching the texture peel and living with avocado shag carpet---and praying for a buyer.

Very nice.

I'm at work...I'll give you one guess as to how my day is. ;-) Actually, I shouldn't complain...it's been quiet.

Aw, poor baby.

I couldn't have gone to work today even if I wanted to. The streets are thick with ice, and according to the evening news, the interstate was a parking lot.

Oooh! You live in a lovely neighborhood, and your house is gorgeous, and Phoebe is darling--what does she think of the snow? My two were just out wrestling in it.

Thank you on all counts! Phoebe seems to like the snow. We have a number of vacant lots in the neighborhood (where houses once stood), and we usually go to one of them take care of her business. I had intended to keep her on the sidewalk on our late afternoon walk. She surprised me by taking off across virgin snow where she had herself a lively romp.

SQUEEEE

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the color of the walls in your living room. LOVE the job you did decorating the mantle with the wedding portrait.

Such a cute neighborhood. I love it. I should go take pictures of mine at night. Cause by day it's rather ick with just the dead winter look. Spring is glorious in California, so I'll tke pictures then. :D

When I"m crazy enough to drive accross country with the kids, I'll make sure we stop by. (trust me, we're flying this summer. Maybe the summer after they'll survive.)

*blush*

I wish I could take credit for the paint, but that's what was on the walls when we moved in. The owner had three colors custom-tinted to match three colors in the paisley border: teal, royal blue, and a brick red. The office is royal blue, and our bedroom and the dining room are painted in the red. The office and MBR are far too messy to post a photo, and not likely to be presentable anytime soon, but when spouse gets done using my dining table to make bread and the dining room gets set to rights again, I'll post a photo to show you the gorgeous red in that room.

Yep, that's my dog. Well, actually, she's become my husband's dog since he's home all day and spends more time with her. I keep telling him I'm going to sue him for alienation of affection.

You have a beautiful neighborhood

Thanks for stopping by my newly-rejuvenated blog! It made me smile to realize that someone else was reading my ranting.

Your neighborhood is beautiful. And it actually looks alot like my new town, even though I'm way up here in New Jersey.

Cheers!
