Stephan Pastis is a genius.

I love Pearls Before Swine. I once sent Stephan Pastis an e-mail expressing my appreciation for his work, and he wrote me back, saying "thank you" and would I please write the local newspaper too? So I did, and cc'd him on the email. The e-mail I sent to the paper was pure gushy fangirl raving about how brilliant Stephan Pastis is, and how much I adored his strip, and if I weren't married, I'd want to have his babies (okay, I left that part out). Again, the man himself wrote me back with one word: "Wow!"
All that to say, once again, Mr. Pastis proves his genius:

I'd still have his babies. If I weren't still married. And perimenopausal.

Date: Oct. 24th, 2008 10:58 am (UTC)That reminds me of a time I was trying to finish a baby blanket I was crocheting...I was about out of time, so I took it with me for my duty shift with the Rescue Squad. Not necessarily a smart move...I took a lot of grief from the firefighters about being able to crochet!

And you can always join me and several hundred thousand other people (including several of our LJ buds) on Ravelry (http://www.ravelry.com). But be warned, Ravelry is addictive.
