Last night's spectacular sunset

So I put myself in danger for these pics.

I noticed the gorgeous sky around 9:00PM, grabbed the camera and scooted across the street, behind the new houses currently under construction. To get a clear shot, without extraneous weeds and shrubbery in the foreground, I had to climb the shaky scaffolding to the second floor outside the nearest mini-manse. I was wearing slip-on sandals, and kept thinking I was going to lose my shoes, not to mention my balance. Thank goodness the camera has a strap I could loop around my wrist while climbing up and down, because I was sans pockets. And sense, apparently. But one must be prepared to sacrifice one's self for one's art, yes?
