Date: Jan. 7th, 2007 01:53 am (UTC)And I'm with you: it's the list; it's not us. :D
Hey, I've read one!
Date: Jan. 7th, 2007 04:29 am (UTC)OK, I also read Steinbeck's "Travels with Charlie" but as that one was required reading in high school it almost doesn't count. And several of the others are classics - though, again, not as what I'd call "travel" books; for me, travel is more of the recreational kind, with intense exploration and naturalistic studies belonging off in "adventure" or "science" somewhere. But maybe that's just me.
But try the Huntford book. It's a good yarn!
