avanta7Paul Simon's There Goes Rhymin' Simon was my first music purchase. 1973. I was 11, maybe 12. I remember standing in front of the music racks in what used to be a Grant's store at Madonna Plaza in San Luis Obispo, agonizing over what to choose with the few precious dollars I had saved. I love every song on this piece of vinyl (which I still have, by the way). The clip below is a treat, a gem, a jewel, a performance of a song that got little if any airplay. Come on. Let's go to Mardi Gras together.
