Loooong weekend starting
Mar. 10th, 2006 08:10 pmIf I had remembered I had arranged a four-day weekend for myself this week, I might not have called in on Tuesday. *grin*
So, today we had the windshield replaced in my car and bought a lawnmower. Once we picked up the car from the glass shop, I stayed inside, curled up on the couch with a book and a blanket. It's been cold and rainy most of the day. The rain is supposed to last through Sunday. Monday is supposed to be sunny, if cool. Maybe the yard will get mowed on Monday.
We decided against being irresponsible and will wait until the tax refund actually arrives before buying our mattress set. This means a few more weeks of discomfort on the daybed. *sigh*
I redid the layout on my journal to reflect the coming spring. It's pretty, but I'm tired of the limitations of Generator-based layouts. I have a paid account and, if I were so inclined, could make a nifty custom layout based on just about anything. However, because I'm not inclined to learn coding, I am dependent on layouts other people feel moved to make. Therefore, this grump is simply a grump and serves no purpose other than general grumpiness. I need a gratitude adjustment.
Yesterday spouse picked up 700 paperbacks for his eBay store and today has spent the vast majority of his time cataloguing them and getting them listed. Yeah. I know. This isn't exactly finding a job, is it?
*checks the time*
Oops! I'm missing "What Not To Wear"!
