Amazon book recommendations
Jul. 25th, 2004 08:59 amI've been going through my Amazon book recommendations list, and marking the books I've already read as being ones I own. However, many of them are no longer in my possession, either because of BookCrossing or being disposed of in some other fashion.
Does anyone else do this? Do you delete the ones you no longer physically have? Or do you let them stay on your virtual shelf at Amazon to provide more nuanced recommendations?
For some reason, showing that I "own" them when I don't actually have them anymore raises an ethical dilemma. I just need to know if I'm being hypersensitive and overly analytical.
