Holiday Wishes

The following list is hardly realistic, but all of our smaller needs are met. We have no shortage of socks and underwear or pet food; we have decent transportation and adequate housing. (And believe me, I know how fortunate we are. I am humbly grateful for the blessings God has granted.)

So, anyway, with the exception of the first two items, this list contains just the "Oh wouldn't it be nice to haves".

• A good job for spouse that will satisfy his need for autonomy and upward mobility, plus provide us with sufficient income that we don't have to worry quite so much. Spouse has an MBA and several years' experience in the financial services industry. Relocation is not out of the question, especially if the job offer includes paying for moving expenses.
  
• A little girl to adopt, age 5 or younger, preferably healthy and Caucasian
  
• Babylon 5 complete series on DVD
  
• X-Files complete series on DVD
  
• A year of piano and/or voice lessons
  
• This house in this subdivision or this one
  
• A maid, or a one-time visit by a top-to-bottom heavy-duty house cleaning team
  
• A new sewing machine and/or a serger
  
• Two weeks in Mexico
  
• Anything already on this wish list
