Happenings

Ever since I got home from Ft. Worth Sunday, I have been dog-tired. Yesterday I didn't even manage to get dressed. Today I showered and dressed, but did little else except play on the computer. Spouse was off today too, so we spent a lot of time talking about, well, stuff. Tomorrow is our 3rd anniversary, BTW. He said he would buy me a huge flower arrangement. Awwww. That's unusual for him. However, I said I wanted new dishes instead. Our state refund was deposited while I was in Ft. Worth, so this evening we went shopping and found some nice casual dishes, plus picked up a new knife set and a couple of desperately-needed baking sheets. (The old knife set passed its best years about five years ago and can't even be sharpened; and the old baking sheets? Well, the less said about those sorry things, the better.) Much better anniversary present than dinner out and/or flowers. He can buy flowers for my birthday.

Mom will be here at 7:30 in the morning. We're going to my sister's house for the day. I'm taking Phoebe; sis is going to coach me in clipping her nails. Much fun will be had, except by Phoebe.

The rest of the week I plan to spend cleaning and working in the yard and reading. Spouse needs some jeans, so I expect I will hit a store or two sometime this week as well.

Who knew ordinary was so fulfilling?
