I just checked the temperature forecast for today.
101F (38.3C).
Have I mentioned lately how much I dislike the Valley in summer?
*sigh*
Off to put on makeup and head to work. See you all this evening.

My sympathies. I well remember the summers I spent in Sacramento, in a student apartment with no A/C. Not. Fun.

The Cape rarely gets hot like that, but we have the humidity to deal with, which I find even worse. Oh well, autumn will be here before too, too long.

Unfortunately, we don't get much of an autumn here. A couple of weeks of cool-ish weather in late October, early November; and *poof* the rains start. *sigh*

Ah, yes, I do remember that. Alas. Still, I prefer the rain to the heat...Hope you're keeping cool.

but at least it's a dry heat. :D

Unlike yesterday, stomping around Colonial Williamsburg in 90 degree temps and 80% humidity.

Colonial times having no air conditioning of course.

Bite me.

*grin*

Seriously, I don't which is worse: a wet 90 or a dry 101.

The other day, I told spouse I wanted to be living on the coast in five years. I'll take fog and stiff ocean breezes over heat and dust any day.

My mom will say it doesn't matter. 90 is too hot regardless of the humidity level.

me? I much prefer dry to humid. I can tolerate humid just fine, unlike my spouse, but I can garden when it's 101 and dry. 80 and humid is good for porch sitting and nothing else.
