Friday, oh it's Friday...

Spouse made his usual Friday night pizza for dinner. *beam*

We are attempting to get through May without turning on the air conditioning. Luckily, we have ceiling fans in all the major rooms, including our bedroom. Even with the fans running, it's warmish: spouse and I have a bit of a glow about us, and the cats are stretched out lengthwise on the cool vinyl floor of the kitchen and foyer.

I wonder if there's a scientific way to determine the temperature based on the curled-upness of a sleeping cat.

Mmm... homemade Pizza. I need to try to make one again. My dad, my friend John, and I had pizza after moving out of my dorm, but it was at a pizza parlor.

We're still quite cool here - and this week quite soggy, too. Personally, I hope it stays this way through the end of the school yeaer, but it hasn't happened yet!

Hope you can stay cool for free!

We're still quite cool here. I'm wearing a heavy fleece sweatshirt right now, and have been ruing (rooing?) the day I took the flannel sheets off the bed.

Trade ya a bit of your heat for a bit of our cool....

We've been hitting 90° here this week. I've managed without my AC so far by keeping windows open at night and shutting them and lowering the blinds in the mornings. We have cruddy windows, so we have to keep the blinds closed to keep the heat out (then the cold out in the winter). I'd love to be able to open my blinds and see out!

my dog hasn't yet resorted to lying on the stone fireplace surround, I'm sure she'll get there though.

A huge chunk of our livelihood comes from the design, production, and sale of heating and cooling units. Yet, my hubby is a stalwart supporter of keeping the AC off until June, if possible. (Not only is he cheap-like-me, he's also certain that his products contribute significantly to global warming.) We give the thermostat a brief kick in the early evening on occasion, and it's been lovely sleeping with the windows open on recent nights.
